My core skill is a capacity for different disciplines and big-picture perspective. I employ linguistic and analytical abilities to build on this capacity and expose myself to different fields. I understand people, I understand their motivations, purposes, and reasons for being who they are. My work in translation, written and simultaneous, as well as my documentation of development practice and my attempts at scriptwriting all stem from this core interest and ability. I combine this aptitude with language skills to become the freelancer that I am. And it is my interest in language and in the meeting of cultures that drove me to an MA in Teaching Arabic as a Foreign Language and to my work as part-time Arabic instructor at AUC. You will find on this website samples of work that I have provided in the past. But by no means do I wish to limit the possibilities. My ongoing passion is to continue to delve into new enriching experiences. |
